Passed today.. Last 17 years was an IBM AIX UNIX admin with limited Security concepts(Except Server Hardening). Before going through the dumps I purchased and read several books that were certified as a "CompTIA" authorized partner. Sanfords dump along with the premium dump accounted for about 15 questions/SIMS on the test I took today. Going through all the questions on the the dumps helped me to learn much more. If I was not sure why an answer was correct the premium would have an explanation. I would suggest if you have not dealt with many of these security concepts before,learning them would help much more than trying to memorize the answers. Good Luck All!

I can confirm the premium is good enough to pass the test. They are not word for word but if you study all the questions it gives you enough to pass the test. All the sims I had were from the premium exam as well.

Passed today in the U.S. with a score of 878. I purchased the premium vce from here which consisted of 1150 questions with explanations. I studied only this vce and nothing else. I received 2 sims that I was not in the vce. First sim was about licensing; ACL, NIPS, 802.1X, HIPS, AV, etc. You need to drag the licenses to the correct devices on the diagram. The second sim was about firewall rules which consisted of NAT and PAT. All in all I had about 15 questions appear on the exam which were from the premium vce. This mofo was tough but managed to pass. Good luck!

Just took the test today and passed USA (VA). All simulations in the test were from this dump. And like 5 questions were also from this dump. I used Professor Messer, CBT Nuggets, the Sybex book, exam cram book, and this VCE file to study.

Failed today, US; 721. Cain is correct, only about 10 questions from ethan1039 dump. I studied 500 of the questions and all of the sims. I had 2 of the sims on my exam. The questions from the dump are helpful but not word for word, you have to study. Problem is there is no explanations for the answers in these dumps.

I am from Saudi arabia and passed with score 783, barely passed and only came five questions from the dump, I got 5 sims, no RAID. you have to study or you will never pass!

Took the exam today in the US and here's the breakdown:

1) I used Ethans 1039 VCE for the questions. I memorized all 1039, but barely 10 or so questions on the actual exam. Some were worded differently, but the exam has a bunch of new questions.

2) Sanford VCE for the SIMS. 2 of the SIMS were on the exam, and there were 3 new ones. Did not get RAID. The SIMS are the first thing you're given, so it will eat up a lot of time if you're not sure what do.

I still passed without really knowing much about Security before I started. I was shocked when I got my score, but I believe Ethans VCE helped me learn about security concepts and I managed to adapt to the new questions. It could have also been dumb luck. Hope this helps.

Please know this dumb is NOT valid. I just took the test Friday ( USA) and barely passed. There was not a single question from this dumb on that test at all.

This dump is 362Q. I don't speak for the other dumps, I speak for this one because I used only this one. Simply put, I took the test, and out of the 362 questions on this dump, there was at most 5 questions on the actual test.

It doesn't matter, actually know something and be smart and you'll pass regardless.

Know that when time is off it can impact Kerberos. So if one computer is working fine but the one next to it isn't, choose Kerberos

I passed on July 31st, and this was hands down the EASIEST exam out of the 3 (A+ Net+ Sec+). I used professor messer donloaded notes and a 1036q from ACTUAL TESTS. ok, so everyone is talking about/ scared of the RAID sim like lits the black plague , but its not that bad. The raid sim is presented to you in a QUADRANT. upper left quad is raid 0, upper right is raid 1, lower left is raid 5, lower right is raid 6. They key to this sim is understanding what each raid LOOKS LIKE, so study pics of each raid, you drag and drop how many striping and mirroring EACH raid has, and you click how much PARITY each raid has. each quadrant has 2 rectangles that say "parity" and you click on how much each raid has. So people, study what each raid does, remember what reach raid diagram LOOKS LIKE, and remember if it has parity, and how much. its not that hard, relax, dont let all of these comments scare you. People keep talking about this raid like its the Anti-christ, i promise you its not hard. relax!!!!!

I just took this test Jul_30 and passed knowing WAY less security then I should recognized 95% of the questions and sims from ethan/stan/prem vce's WORD FOR WORD I memorized approx 800 questions

Sec+ maybe you did'nt memorize enough questions there is a pool of 1036 that the test pulls from (only 60 to 70 on exam not counting sims) mine was 90% vaild, I have VERY LITTLE SECURITY KNOWLEDGE i just memorized 800+ quetions is all

My test was atleast 90% vaild from ethan and sanford YES USA exam so maybe you just got questions you couldn't memorize there are what 1023 questions and test only ask you about 65 to 75 out of those rest are sims

It seems This dump is ancient, therefore probably invalid.

Focus on new premium dumps (1036 or more questions). Ofcourse, studying helps.

I took this last in the past week. Scored over 800. I read the entire book. This dump is 5% valid at best. Maybe 3 multiple choice questions were the same. 2 of the sims the same (but they were so easy - I didn't even pay attention to them in this dump)

So, if you have zero knowledge about security and don't read a book, you will fail.

I studied the ethan 1036q and Atest and pass4sure (almost all 3 the same test) but just passed my Security+ (870!) today only using that? The 2 new sims were the only thing not on there (RAID and HACKER one)

Sims include securing a WAP,chosing which methords to use with a data centre and a mobile device,allowing users access on a firewall etc

Only recognized about 5 questions from the VCE on the actual exam. Had I relied solely on this VCE, I would have failed. Good thing I actually knew the material.

Just passed with an 822, Sims from the top 3 dumps were perfect. I had only 6 and they did not involve raid or securing WAP. I had about 20 questions that I recognized from this dump. Know your ports, authentication protocols and encryption protocols. Good luck!

@wan, I have over 8 sim and 6 are exactly from this dump. Go through all the sim from this dump, you should be able to answer 6 sim. However, some of the answer from this dump might not be right. For example, one of the sim is about retina and finger scan which are something you are but the answer from this dump is wrong. The two new sim are exactly how Delta explain. RAID sim and a lab with 4 logs. you need to find out which machine is been compromise. Answer Is the web server. Afterward, you need to select what action you need to do. I think I saw this sim in Ethan 1039q dump. Good luck!

Just took the test today and passed. There's only 5 or 6 questions from this dump. However, the sim is right on. I also got the RAID sim. It is exactly what Delta said. you need to know RAID 0,1,5,and 6 with the parity and min. disk need. There's 4 servers - stream server, email archive server, authentication server and management server. Base on integrity, I/O, and availability to place the right server to the right RAID. For example stream server should use RAID 0 since the I/O is faster.

@WAN I can't remember the ARP question verbatim but the just was just as I stated. Which of the following are immune to ARP. Two choices I automatically ruled out as not even close to valid. The other choices were IPv6 or IPSec. I chose IPv6. the Sims are from the dumps except for the RAID and the Forensics one.

Passed the SY0-401 EXAM few days ago! The exam objectives are divided into the following domains:
1. Network Security(20%);
2. Compliance and Operational Security(18%);
3. Threats and Vulnerabilities(20%);
4. Application, Data and Host Security(15%);
5. Access Control and Identity Management(15%);
6. Cryptography(12%).
I had 70 questions in total with 6 SIMs, and I learned the PassLeader 1056q SY0-401 exam dumps, all SIMs were came from it, which is the most valid dumps.

Failed twice. Strangely worse the 2nd time!!!
Sadly not kidding.... Forensic lab is just plain evil. All because I didnt get CEUs! ahhhh!

IMO - if you take the Cristiano.999q and SANFORD.362q you should pass with 800 out of 900.

I studied 2 sets of video tutorials, 1 book, few exam preparation notes, and Cristiano.999q and SANFORD.362q.

Delta is absolutely correct. I tested yesterday and passed with a 781. Do not rely solely on any of these dumps. I only saw a couple of questions from these dumps on the exam. the first 8 questions were the SIms/performance-based. 6 of the Sims are from the dumps. I also bought a book and studied for 2-3 weeks, book, and .vce's. My RAID sim was 0,1,5,and 6. know how many disks are required for each and if there is parity. then you have to select a server type and place it on a RAID. Streaming Media, Email, Authentication, and maybe a Database or Archive of some sort. Had a couple of SAML questions. What is immune to ARP? Good luck it's a tough test.

I can tell you by far... whatever dumps you have learned in the states.. you better know your stuff before taking the new test! I recommend getting Comptia's official study guide and learned even the wrong answers. The new sims are exactly what people are saying... 66 questions in all 8 sims.

I just took the exam and passed...barely! 781 whew! Delta is correct. I only had a few questions from these top three dumps. The sims as posted previously are spot on but I too got the new sims that Delta mentioned. RAID 0,1,5 & 6. Had to select how many disks required for each, whether or not parity and which server the RAID would be best suited for.
I also purchased a text book to study from. Since the questions are re-worded you really have to know your stuff. The dumps are ok for supplemental learning, but do not rely solely on them.

I don't think the any of th dumps listed here are valid, there are very few questions from any of the top three Dumps. I think it is really important that you know the concepts. I think it was a hard test, also, two of the simulations RAID and Log Decyphring are new. RAID is something like , you have four computers up top and you have four boxed with RAID 0, RAID 1 , RAID 6 and RAID 10. You have to select which computer goes into which RAID, this means prioritizing which needs performance VS fault tolerence, e.g. one of the servers was Stream Servers and other one was Email Archive. I added streaming in RAID 1 and Email archive in RAID 10 because of fault tolerence. Then you also have to select how many disks are used in each disks and do the pairty exists or no. Raid 0 no Pairty , both disks Striping, RAID 1 Both disks mirroring , RAID 5 would be Striping with parity. ||||||||||||||||||||||| The labs with the logs where the WEB server is being attacked you need to select what are some of the things you will do to mitigate e.g. Packet Capturing, Hash, Restore and things like those. It is a significantly hard exam because none of the questions were from the dumps, I would recommend waiting until some of the dumps come out with questions.

66 questions total - 60 mcq & 6 sims.
I studied the 1039q and was extremely familiar with the questions. Only recognized 3 or 4 of those questions on the test. Hadn't seen 2 of the sims in the dumps. 1 was about a RAID and the other was incident response based off server logs.
The dumps are helpful but will need to know your stuff to pass.

i took the test yesterday and Passed with 800.
6 out of the 7 simulations came from this Dump.
about 20 to 30% of the mcq came from this Dump.
my recommendation is that; this is definitely helpful but, you really need to study the materials and know your stuff. Some of the question are reformulated and can be very confusing if you only rely on the Dump.

All the SIM (lab) is from this dump.. A lot of questions are from these materials, don't just rely on the material is the way to pass this test. Make sure to understand each term and what they ado and why or how they are used.

Passed with an 809. I used this and skillport. All of the simulations came from this and some of the questions were word for word. Definitely study cryptography and wireless stuff.

My problem with this, along with the Voucher dump (JK0-22.vce), and the paid version, is that, as other posters have noted, contains answers that are wrong.... mostly the simulations.

I know what I'm doing, but failed this BARELY and I feel like if the simulations were cleaned up, I'd have passed. Is it the answers compTIA are looking for are wrong or are the (conflicting!) answers from the dumps wrong?

I know this is about to be retired in two weeks, but I paid much for this augmentation, and its just wrong to leave people like this.

Sims can be found just about anywhere and they were also in the book I purchase on Amazon (which I credit in helping me pass the exam). Either wait for the dump to catch up with the new questions or get a book ans study hard.

passed 4/23 with 815. sims were helpful and maybe like 10 questions almost word for word from this dump. this dump is the only thing I studied besides certmaster. certmaster helped with the overall concepts, and it came with a free re-test. but I'd say this dump helped the most.

Passed with 857 today. The dumps were a great help some of the questions were exact wording as to what was on the test. Had 5 sims and 69 total questions.

just took the exam scored a 776. there were approximately 2 maybe 3 regular questions from this dump on the exam and they were reworded. only thing i would use this for is for the sims. which like stated below some of the answer are wrong so verify the answers before burning them into your brain.

None of the sims in this dump work. At the end of the sims are a multi-choice answer. None of them are correct (of course). Simply clicking Next in test app marks answer as correct.

took this exam today got 796. Used this dump to prepare but like 14 questions total came out. Had the generic 5 simulations came out but not the WPA one. Passed with low 800. Beware, only 3 questions from this dump were on my exam. Only 2 of the 6 sims were on this exam. This dump cant be the only thing you study.

Passed with 802. 69 questions with 4 sims (All sims in this dump were in the exam) Be careful everyone, going through this dump, only 10 questions, including the sims, were in my exam. You want to increase your chances, buy the premium dump 1036 questions. The premium had maybe 50% of my exam questions in it (the price is worth having half the exam right off the bat) If you have access to it, CBT Nugget's CompTIA Security+ videos were a great help in conjunction with the 1036Q dump.

Last pieces of advice 1)Understand the concepts. even on the 1036Q dump and all the free dumps, not all the answers are correct. Do not rely word for word. at the very least, understand the concepts 2)Know your ports and protocols, attack types and malware, PKI (IMPORTANT!), Mitigation and deterrent techniques 3)GOOGLE! google each answer and see if it makes sense. I can tell you right now, A LOT is wrong.

This test is no joke. Please keep my recommendations above in mind as they were all I needed to pass.

Passed the exam. Only 2 new questions came. Rest all from this dump!

would say 35% to 40% word for word from this dump + maybe about another 25% reworded. Useful tool for prepping for the exam but I would not try the exam without at least reading the Sybex book.

Still valid in UK, passed today 825, 70% questions where on the dump word for word, but be careful, as others have said lots of the answers in the dump are wrong including some SIMS, all SIMS on exam plus the WAP question, Know your ports and which is TCP, UDP or both

Passed 840+ , maybe 20% questions from this dump..all new questions. Basically i only studied this and watched CBT and passed.

Just passed with 819. At least 60% were on this dump. The sims from this dump were very helpful. 2 new sims were not on the dump, including a lab to secure WiFi and picking the best authentication methods for different offices.

CBT Nuggets and the Sybex study guide were the most helpful, along with taking good notes while watching the CBT Nuggets. This dump is definitely helpful to validate your studying, but I recommend taking the time to actually study, as some of the answers are wrong, and different dumps have different answers to the same sims.

Is the "Premium VCE" any different than this one? It states it is 362 questions and they sell it for $69.99 on this site.

Just pass with 874/900. Actually this dump is very good but you must know that there is many wrong answers in it.
I recommend CBT Nuggets, "Kieth Parker" is great trainer and I think he is the best. I also recommend Sybex study guide and Sybex Review guide. my exam consist of 66q, out of them 6 sims, one of these 6 is new to this dump; its about securing WAP; there is WAP and many servers like DHCP, AAA, wireless controller, etc and you must configure WAP for most secure; you must choose WPA2-enterprise, AES encryption, and enter the ip address and port of RADIUS server.
